Hello AZL , What's happening with the rio grande ? not enough send to the distributors , ...? I have pre- ordered my eyes since May and no news .... Please let me know eltiti1 Rob Kluz is in charge of distribution, but I seem to remember that we did not receive as many Rio Grande locomotives as we ordered. This is a pity as it is one of the most attractive. There is a good chance that Rio Grande will be delivered to Heritage Subscribers only, as I do not think there were any extra units for individual sale. Hopefully someone will be willing to trade or sell on the secondary market. Sorry! -Rob(A) AZL

However, the Amtrak Superliner, the single level announcement, and the aluminum Amtrak car haulers have shifted my priorities quite a bit. I got the first two UP heritage SD70ACe's that came out but missed the subscription portion. My plan then was to make-up a bunch of UP "specials" and run them most of the time. Now, I'm glad I missed out. I want to run a bunch of Amtrak trains: AutoTrain, NE corridor, and all the name trains. I'm so stoked. Rob, Rob and Hans, you are my new heroes! Thanks again Rory Blake

All of those who participated is the AZL Direct subscription program have had their D&RGW Heritage units shipped to them. We did have severe production shortages with this locomotive. All dealers who participated is the subscription program have received an allotment of the D&RGWs, but they may not have received their full subscription. While we have tried to fulfill all dealer orders, it was just impossible to meet the demand with the inventory we had on hand. No locomotives were held back for individual sales. I would recommend working closely with your AZL dealer. The D&RGWs should start arriving at dealers tomorrow. Rob

Instead of the regular 5 allotment, one of my dealers ...only got two. I got one of these. I'm not upset now ...at all. Thanks Rob! Rory

Hey Commodore Fireman...noted that you got the first two issues of the UP Heritage units. I missed the first one (Western Pacific) and would love to add that to my collection. Would trade the GW Bush commemorative unit or $$ or combination of both (really want the WP).

Would trade the GW Bush commemorative unit or $$ or combination of both (really want the WP). Thanks for the offer... The first two and the last two issued are the only ones I've been interested in acquiring. I've got dozens of daylight cars and really wanted the UP SP Heritage loco. I guess the challenge is what makes this hobby interesting. Thanks again Rory

Why so small series of these locos? It's kind of sad to see them all sold out the day they're relased...

Yes, I know runs of 50 seem ...so small.
I remember back in 2007 when the releases of some of them were only 5 of a road number.
I really appreciated Rob finding me one of the Santa Fe E8-B #80, back then.
Just try to get in every line, ASAP.
Thats what I try to do!
