Hi Rob....with the RDC2 tooling stuck at the old factory, does that mean it will be a long time, if ever, that RDC2's will be available again? Correct. No more RDC-2.

For planning purposes, are you willing to tell us the first couple few road names??? Hi Dave, I do not know the release calendar yet but the production road names are: NYC, B&O, CN (Maple Leaf), CN (Noodle), Amtrak, CP (Beaver), B&M (without the "T" logo), CNJ, ATSF (2nd run), Trinity Texas, Reading, CNW, VIA, and SP (2nd run) All are RDC-1 since the RDC-2 tooling is stuck at the old factory. One day we might do an RDC-3. Best, -Rob(A) AZL If you do "do an RDC-3", count me in! GN 2350

Does anyone have a list of all RDCs made by AZL along with the part numbers?

Have you tried the AZL page: www.americanzline.com/locomotives/budd-rdc/The only oddity is the SP unit, 62206-1. There are and early and late paint version (Daylight whiskers vs. bloody nose) which are the late (2017) vs. early releases from AZL respectively. Mark

Mark,
I did look at that page and 62201 is missing. Well, I was browsing MBKlein and what did I see, NYC RDCs with part numbers of 62201-1 and 62201-2. I cannot find any other reference anywhere to these RDCs. I realize there are gaps further down in the numbering system but I am very surprised that 62201 has never surfaced until now because the first run was more than six years ago. I am even more surprised that no one else, including AZL, has these listed anywhere that I can find.

It is a simple answer. Our first RDC manufacturer was supposed to deliver NYC RDCs, but they never did. That is why the number has existed a long time since we told dealers back then that the NYC was around the corner. Do not get hung up on sequential numbers since we add and subtract road names all the time during development.

Thanks for the input Hans and I understand better now. Why doesn't any other dealer, including yourselves, have these for sale? Were they a sneak release or something?

I stopped by there on my way home from work today, and I can confirm that M.B. Klein did in fact have 4 of the NYC RDC's in stock. 2 of the 62201-1 NYC #M450 and 2 of the 62201-2 NYC #M457 However for some unknown reason they only had one of the 62201-1's left in stock after I left

That looks nice and it is tempting.
I still think it is very strange that MB Klein is the only dealer that has these and not a peep from any other dealer, including AZL.

Have you popped the shell yet to see if they're 1st or 2nd run? Maybe you've found what actually happened to the 1st run. Or maybe a Chinese manufacturer has gone out on their own? It's been known to happen. Mark

I don't think they were actually produced in the first run. At least that is how I interpret Han's post. I can't imagine they would sit on these for that long if they were produced in the first run.

Dave, Having worked with Asian contract manufacturers, it can be amazing what they find when they check all their shelves and cabinets. Hans said they didn't deliver not that they didn't manufacture.

That very well could be. Maybe it was an extremely short run or something.
