Just a heads-up...not sure if this an official announcement or just some type of special run or something but ZScaleMonster.com is showing new stock of various 40, 48, and 53 foot containers including the 53 foot JB Hunt containers I've been wanting. I already placed my order but it looks like there are still some left for the rest of you. www.zscalemonster.com/azl/load

Technically these are not new releases. We had released them years ago, but they were sold out for some time. We have re-released them. There are a few more of the sold out containers coming as well. As for new containers, I expect to release 1 - 2 never before released containers shortly. We did announce the return of the containers to dealers a few months back and some dealers did accept pre-orders.

Ah, ok. Well, I don't really have a "dealer" per se. My LHS went out of business last fall. LHS #2 carries little Z-scale and more importantly isn't very reliable as far as pre-orders go. If the e-Tailers I visit did have preorders, I missed it somehow...which is possible. Anyway, seems like I was able to get the ones I wanted. Thanks!

Hi Christoff, I am fairly new to Z, and my layout is not very far along at this time. Here is some more info on what I have planned... mockindz.blogspot.com/2015/08/introduction.htmlmockindz.blogspot.com/2015/08/overall-layout-theme.htmlmockindz.blogspot.com/2015/08/design-considerations-and-track-plan.htmlRegarding my intermodal roster and plans, I had originally purchased an AZL single 53ft stack car when I first placed an order for Z-scale, just to see what the quality was like and how they tracked. I later decided I was going to abandon the idea of intermodal for the short term and put it up for sale. But then, before I knew it I had found great deals on some MTL Husky Stack cars, and thought maybe I would just do a baretable train or something. Then I picked up one of the Alan Curtis articulated 48ft AP spine cars to that end. Since, I had picked up a few containers here and there but really wanted some of the JB Hunt 53's. So fast forward, I've procured some of HoboTim's drawbars for the Husky's to configure them into more prototypical consists. I have already done most of the changes to the lettering on the cars but haven't done the actual drawbar conversion yet. I've also a couple of the MTL 60ft cars to convert into TOFC's which are major foobs but will do for now. Here's my roster: (1) AZL NSC 53ft Stack Car (1) MTL NOKL Husky Stack Car (1:3) MTL BN Husky Stack 3-Unit Drawbar Set (1:4) MTL TTX Husky Stack 4-Unit Drawbar Set (2) MTL TTX Husky Stack Car (1:5) AC 5-Unit Artic Spine Car (1) MTL 60ft TOFC Flat NS (MP-to-be-relettered) To Be Purchased: (1) MTL 60ft TOFC Flat CP Rail (1) AZL NSC 53ft Stack Car CP 91602-3 (1) AZL NSC 53ft Stack Car 3-Car Set The above will give me a pretty appropriately-sized train for my 24"x54" layout. Aside from this roster I may add a MTL 60ft Flat setup to represent a COFC car, and perhaps one or two of HoboTim's other creations (like a Maxi-IV) further on down the line. Sorry I don't have pics at the moment. My Husky's are in a hundred pieces right now but I'll see what I can come up with picture-wise and post. Come to think of it, I do have a pic of my AZL 53...

Gerd, those look great. They're a little too new for what I need era-wise, but certainly something I would look at if my era pushed forward a bit.
