And what about the controllers using pulse mode? I am just trying the gaugemaster with one of those and i am afraid they are not compatible. Does it work only with standard DC controllers?

I've used them with Jorger delux, snail speed, MRC modified by MT, white marklin, and MRC tech 2 with dual controllers. I have not had any issues with any of these.
I can not speak for the newer MRC packs that are out. A friend of mine uses them with Kato power packs and says it is great.

Anyone have a wiring diagram on how to power the gaugemaster from one of the blue Marklin transformers?

Just follow the wiring diagram on the Gaugemaster packaging. Two wires will go from the controller to the Gaugemaster and then from the Gaugemaster to the track. The Guagemaster will be powered off of the 2 accessory wires form the back of the controller.
I have been testing the Gaugemaster with a 16V power supply that Mark M recommended. I really like it. It definitely increases the performance of the Gaugemasters.

Thanks Rob.
I wired them that way last night and did not see much for results. Wasn't sure if there was a sequence from the transformer to the gaugemaster (I.e. Yellow to the left connector. Grey to the right).
The 16va adaptor may be the way to go.

Are you seeing the yellow light on the gauge master. With no train on tracks it should be on. Once a loco is placed on the track it should go out. As you run loco light will flicker as loco hits dirty portions of track

I just tested my Gaugemaster today and it really makes a difference. My iffy finicky locos are running better and the ones that run well are even better. It was definitely worth the price. The yellow light was flickering pretty steadily at first, and now you hardly see it. I did get a little bite from touching the tracks, nothing serious, but it surprised me. Anyway, I like it.
