Great! The CN F3s are here.

About the F3B : I don't see any road number on the F3B. I haven't found many pictures but it seems that the B units had the Canadian National and the road number on the side just like the A unit.

I am just curious.

Look, I get it, numbers in Z-scale are hard to read....next to impossible in normal circumstances but definitely easily read in macro-photography, and even the naked eye can discern the variations from one car to the next. Agreed?

No? Well how 'bout this...you don't number every single car you make "123456", so at some level the numbers in Z matter, right? (not to mention you release multiple numbers, not to state the obvious)

So, would it kill you to take 3 minutes and check to see that the numbers you're putting on cars are correct for the cars you are doing? Every single one of the numbers you have applied on this Santa Fe run are for 4427cf or similar cars. (Those would NOT be the cars AZL makes, for the spectators...theirs is some variant of the 4750cf class of covered hopper...a very different looking car)

Need ideas on how to get appropriate numbers? Here's one...

Worried that Intermountain will cry foul? I wouldn't be...they're so done with z-scale it's not even funny, if the conversation I had with them over the weekend is any indication. But if so, there are other venues such as...

Again, I get it....z-scale. Not mad about it, etc. Probably won't change your sales one bit. (it moved me from "must purchase now" to "wait for the sale".) But it's the small things guyZ...details make the difference. Don't be like Micro-Trains.

Really like the CNW hoppers, but...

While the most of road numbers selected are good, but the 1755xx series are slightly different model which was slightly longer and had some other noticeable visual differences.

CNW 175086
CNW 175505

But more disappointing is that the wrong logo was used for the color scheme of the car selected. Rather than it saying Chicago System on the ball it should be the Employee Owned. (Plus the logo should be offset rather than centered) The Chicago System was used, but was the full color version on cars that where repainted in the 80's.

Time to get creative.
