I've heard through a source that Sanda Kan has stopped producing engines for MTL, Marklin, and parts for Bowser. Apparently, they are concentrating their efforts on customers who have bigger needs such as Buchman and so on. I guess this means that MTL won't be producing any new engines for the foreseeable future. Does that mean AZL will be picking up the slack and corner the market on engines? Here is a link to the article where my source got his info from. Interesting reading to be sure. www.modelretailer.com/en/The%20Industry/Industry%20News/2010/06/Sanda%20Kan.aspx

We are not using Sanda Kan as a factory anymore. The last products we ordered from Sanda Kan was the rerun of the SD70 and GP7. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

This is old news. Marklin has moved production back to the EU.

The MTL Z-scale switcher is a good example of what to expect in the future from them.
