We get quite a few requests from AZL locomotive owners on how to remove the shells of our locomotives. We have posted a PDF illustrating the steps to remove the shells from the GP7/9 series and the SD70 series of locomotives. You can find the PDF on our AZL website. I find the removal of the shell from most of the diesel engines is fairly simple and easy. However, is the fuel tank of the E8 and P42 held on with an adhesive? By the way, I like the way the pilot is mounted on the P42 and the free swinging coupler. I wish the E8 and F3 were done the same way. Now how the devil do I get the shell off the steam engine?
