I just noticed that the top banner has a BNSF Heritage II (Pumpkin) with a previously unreleased road number . For all it know it could have been then is way for a bit and I just wasn't observant enough. Any figure its part of the recent SD70/SD75 run. ANy word on when can we might expect this beauty to be available to hit the rails? ~Paul E.

Come on Robert, I'm going to run out of money before this ever makes it to the market.

I think they announced those last year.

Maybe I am still confused but I think we have some model nomenclature issues here....
The BNSF unit in the top banner does not appear to be an SD75I but an SD70M or a stand-in SD75M. It appears to be missing the isolation cab nose seam. Without seeing the engineers side, I can't tell if it has the bulge below the inertial filer intake. Without the E/S bulge, it is not quite an SD75M. The Santa Fe SD75Ms that were just released are missing the bulge below the internals intake on the engineer's side and that is why I say that they are not quite an SD75M. The first run BNSF Warbonnets had the same issue of missing the bulge on the engineers side. The first run of SD75Is that were released in BNSF Heritage were correct in that they had both the nose seam and the extra bulge on the engineers side.
My question is... Are the SD75Is with the correct body shell in BNSF Heritage II part of this run of SD70s/SD75s?
Don't get me wrong, I picked-up an ATSF Warbonnet even though the body shell was not quite right. I would however, really like to add a correct SD75M, hopefully in BNSF Heritage II.
Thanks to AZL for all of these great offerings! Isn't it great to have so many units to nit-pick over?
Thanks and regards, Cliff

Hi, First the BNSF and ATSF units (2014 run) are all SD75Ms. My first thought on the isolation cab nose seam was that either the factory or I had done a small blunder. But they are correct without. Now our initial BNSF SD75 release were actually SD75Is with the isolation cab nose seam. For some reason we got it correct the first time by research and the second time by luck. So both BNSF as SD75M and SD75I exist. The BNSF Heritage II SD75M will be out in a couple of months. The bulge is an oversight on my hand. Had completely forgot about it. I really want to blame our old manufacturer on this, but it is an AZL oversight. I wish we could make that part available as a spare, but it is probably not likely. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Hi Hans,
Thanks very much! I very much appreciate the word!
I even fell into the M/I trap in my own post. LOL
So if I understand you correctly, the BNSF SD75I (with nose seam) will not be part of this second run? It will actually be the BNSF SD75M (without nose seam) instead?
Thanks again for offering such a wealth of choices of quality units!
Regards, Cliff

Hi Hans,
Just one more follow-up question...
Will there be any "I" units (units with the nose seam) in the 2014 SD70/75 releases?
Thanks! Cliff

Hi Cliff, There will be no units with seam, thus our upcoming CN75Is will miss out on this detail as well as the bulge. We have moved the moulds twice between factories and it could be that these particular parts are permanently missing. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Hi Hans, Thanks again for the good information. It will help me plan my future acquisitions as items are released. I have picked-up three of the 2014 SD70 line so far and I plan on at least two or three more of what is yet to come, that I know of, in the 2014 release. Thanks again for the great variety of offering from AZL! Best regards, Cliff
