I was looking for a good display case that would work in my living room to go with the coffee table layout I have in progress. I found a range of cases available from SF Display and decided to go for the HO Scale Train Display Case and modify it to double the capacity. I added extra levels with two square dowels glued together to get 1 1/4" height and 5/8" width.
I designed and printed come custom buffers to go with the rokuhan track I was using.
I added the extra levels with black felt glued on to match the background felt. The track was glued/screwed into each level.
The full case has 12 levels that are 37" long and can take my full collection........ for now.
