I had the opportunity to see Big Boy #4014, today, for the first time - just amazing!!! It was in Rochelle, Illinois, for the weekend but I didn’t want to hassle with the crowds. #4014 departed Rochelle around 9:00 am this morning… went through Cortland, Illinois around 9:40 where we captured it! While I’m a fan of diesels, words cannot express how impressive this locomotive is! If you have not witnessed this in person and it’s coming near you, I urge you to take the opportunity and see it live - its well worth the trip. Lastly, Hans/Rob, I certainly hope you consider reproducing these - wish I had bought one the first time around when they were brass

Nice. It is impressive. I'm not huge into steam either but I've seen the Big Boy and the Challenger in action and it's worth a half day off work for sure.
I would definitely buy a Big Boy or Challenger in plastic as a "modern" 90's+ excursion version and an accompanying business train.

Yes! I caught this magnificent beast today in Watseka, IL. It never ceases to impress! +1 for an AZL Big Boy comeback.

ZDave, glad you were able to see it in Watseka, today,...I wanted to but I couldn't get the day off of work to go down there - guess I'll just wait for Hans/Rob to make the next move.

I’m sure it wouldn’t be inexpensive, even for a plastic Big Boy version, but I’d be all in for it. It would be so cool to run it on my layout.

“…I’m sure it wouldn’t be inexpensive, even for a plastic Big Boy version…” In Z Scale, not much is!
