Hi Mark, Nice picture of the Overland Limited. Do you know whether the cars are two tone grey heavyweights? and is that a green baggage car? If yes, we should be able to built this consist with AZL rolling stock, or? Best, Sven

Sven, Welcome to the group. The quick answer is yes: light and heavyweights, Pullman Green and two tone grey. The coach yard produced this train in HO. Here's their info on it: www.thecoachyard.com/Pages/Equipment/Overland1946.htmlFrom my search, I've seen a photo from the same time frame that is all Pullman Green and heavyweights. But it seems the preferred configuration would be two tone grey with lightweight Pullman and heavyweight head end and dining cars. But yes it is you can build the consist. That green car looks more like a Railroad Express Agency car or a railroad post office. Mark

Lionel some time ago announced a cab forward in the daylight colors. Is this prototypically or a nice "fantasy" scheme? Best, Sven

Sven, Perhaps the answer to your question is that the cab forwards were never painted in Daylight colors.

Welcome back Jürg. Your diorama could appear in monthly Model Railroader's photo contest, in my opinion... Dom
