Since my CP GP9 needed company I decided that should be a custom one as well, and opted for 1 of the lonely 2 GP30's that the CP had; #5001. Base model is a stock AZL GP30, I used leftover decals from my GP9 project and some individual Numbers from a CMR CP freight car deal set. The font of the cab numbers and size isn't completely accurate, but I can live with it. The Multimark and stripes from the GP9 decal set fit perfectly on the GP30, the nose stripes were cut down a bit. The next step is adding the white highligts on handrails etc, and weathering. This was the only GP30 north of the border, correct?

CP had at least two that I am aware of… 5000 & 5001 Thanks for the kind words🙏🏻 The CP had 2 GP30's ( not counting the ex SOO units with their B type trucks and no Dynamic Brake). One of these rare Birds #5000 seems preserved from what I read, but I liked #5001 a bit more. So she will soon get an appropriate weathering job and a Decoder so she can run with the GP9 in M.U.
