No point in trying the latest SD40-2 on my new layout when my radius’ are about 170mm,….. so I added a Santa Fe GP30 so the BNSF GP38-2 has a friend. It arrived today…. Perfect out of the box as expected. I ran it on its own for about half an hour before giving it a 12 car load. It seems to have plenty of power and is very smooth, seems to have less torque than the GP38-2….I can virtually “creep” the GP38-2… the GP30 runs great, but not as slow. The best part though, I’m enjoying the heck ou of this new hobby. Anyway, here’s the new loco, and I also shot another video that’s up on YouTube. Attachments:

Those are such a good looking loco in that scheme! cwrr, I agree 100%. The layout is colorful, so in my way of thinking, the Santa Fe scheme blends right in.
