Locomotives The motive power of name trains is as important as the passenger consist. Except for the WP FP7s, AZL offers all designated locomotives used on the original California Zephyr. CB&Q: F3s and E7s (released this month!) D&RGW: F3s and PAs WP: F3s Occasional use of F7s happened on the D&RGW, but they were not designated to the Zephyr. We still have not produced the single black stripe D&RGW locomotives, but we have those in mind for future production runs.
Passenger Car Consist As mentioned in earlier correspondence, the CZ had 6 complete train sets. AZL initially produced 4. And if I am not mistaken, we have released three so far.
Note: For Rob and I, this was our first true name train. The great response to the CZ has led to the AZL ATSF Super Chief, the ATSF El Capitan and the UP City of Los Angeles. And now we are working on the SP Coast Daylight! We will not stop at that and promise to keep Z scalers happy!

Hans, I think you meant to say that the CB&Q E8s were released this month. I believe the CB&Q E7s were released in early 2022. Still waiting on a CRI&P E7 in rocket colors. Mark

My entire layout was based off your incredible Cal Zephyr release. It was truly a holy grail moment for Z scale and I wanted someway to showcase and show it off. With the Coast Daylight release coming on the horizon, I just may have to give a thought at making a future Coast Line layout. What are the plans for GS-3 and GS-4 type? Should I sell off my brass ones?
