Great ! Sold out before you even made the announcement ! As demand for the R70-20’s clearly far outstrips supply, any chance if a pre-order process ? Also, as discussed here peviously by many modellers, will there be a GREEN version of the WFE reefer produced ?

Those, and the impossible to find GP38's! Maybe some of the newer SD's?

Rob(s)/Hans:
Just curious...
What is the "Real Story" with these Reefer releases and quick sellouts?
Is this related to unscrupulous buyers that resell on E Bay?
Or some type of Z Fanatic Cult, in which members only buy this particular model, while living in Mommy's basement?
😊

Those, and the impossible to find GP38's! Maybe some of the newer SD's? The only SD (and only 6-axle loco indeed) used on Alaska RR is the SD70MAC, which is not produced by AZL. Indeed you could use a SD70M (after having it re-painted) but that would not be accurate. Dom

Or some type of Z Fanatic Cult, in which members only buy this particular model, while living in Mommy's basement? 😊 I posted this in the August release "There's a limited number so dealer orders are enough to make it appear as if they sold out quickly (if you only use AZL direct as a gauge)." I will add ... the lack of appearance of a new release on AZL direct means the items are en route to dealers who snatched them all up. In this release, as a dealer, I was asleep at the wheel last night while refreshing the dealer ordering page and ended up with only one 2-pack. I haven't listed it on my site yet. Hence it's "missing" from the world. I know John (US Z) and Anthony (ZSM) and possibly 1zu220 in Germany got some as i heard from customers that they had them listed as available for a brief moment. AZL seemingly has under-ordered these r7020's. That's pretty clear. Although some previous "can't find anywhere" versions still sit in some dealer's stock, unsold.

That being said, the Cult has a Crystal Ball - and it sees another run of R70 in the future.

Hey, how can I start my own AZL cult?!
Without a crystal ball. Have a crystal bowl.
Sacrifices made: Sculptamold, Hydrocal, and EnviroTex Lite instead of Italian restaurants, nonessential groceries, and Irish pubs.
Come to think of it, … I have faith in AZL. A cult would be … non-applicable?

Please do the green Burlington Northern BNFE R-70-20's. Similar scheme to the BNSF, but green instead of mineral red. ANd of course BNFE reporting marks. There's also a nice all-white BN BNFE shceme too. (looks just like your all-orange BNFE. Except, less orange and more white. Both very common and everywhere during the 80's, 90's, and 2000's.

How about some more orange Tropicanas. Those are scarce as hen's teeth. And some Fruit Growers express for us easterners. We had fruit too. Asking for a friend. Keep up the great work!

Fun fact… the white PFE “Perishable Fruit Experts” logo was specifically designed to be placed over the Union Pacific “shield” logo that was once shared.
