AZL,
With the imminent release of the SD40-2, would you consider doing the BN #1876 and Milwaukee #156 Bicentennial paint schemes?
If / when you do a rerun of the SD45's, include a hi nose NW # 1776 Bicentennial release as well.
Plenty of others can be done with GP 38/40 body styles.
Just a cool idea for future releases.
Thanks

On one hand, these are very specific items that don't necessarily appeal to a broad range of customers. Traditionally, this type of scheme would be the bastion of custom painters.
On the other hand, model train manufacturers have started to see how popular the "iconic" trains are, with popularity that spans across the typical silos of roadnames and eras. Things like the named passenger trains, or heritage scheme locomotives. (And IIRC, Kato did these Bicentennial schemes in N, right?) So, maybe it's not out of the realm of the possible. I know a few have asked for the Maersk unit as well.

Good point United States 250 year anniversary is just 3 years away. Time for AZL to get started on some loco's with a 1776 "Semiquincentennial" Quarter Millennial paint scheme, Maybe a few freight cars or a passenger set with paint schemes to match. And a retro Bicentennial scheme release would make a nice addition.
Come on AZL you know all the others Scales / Manufactures will have some special paint Schemes being released for our 250 year Quarter Millennial Anniversary
Don't leave Z Scale out!!!! We are counting on you for something Special.

I'm all for the actual prototype loco bicentennial paint schemes, but let's leave the novelty releases to MTL. They seem to have a pretty good handle on that (see my recent rant on Trainboard Z forum ) I AM ready for the new CSX heritage schemes to be released by AZL, though!
