SP E8 loco numbers are wrong. These numbers belong to a large batch of SD45 locos. The E9 series are in the 6000’s, not the 9000’s. Preceding this announcement, see also my post under the December part 1 heading. The 1954-built E9 batch were numbered 6046 - 6054. ( My source:- Guide to North American Diesel Locomotives, Jeff Wilson, Kalmbach, 2017, page283 ).

I wonder if AZL is going to do all of the SP E units. This would be nice! From: espee.railfan.net/spe-09.html"6048 and 6050 received full Black Widow paint in 1958, but only wore it for a short time." Mark

Nice set of announcements, I am definitely in for the SP E8s. What is the "realistic" minimum radius for the E8?

Those NP "Raymond Loewy" paint F7's are very detailed! Can picture a set of those on the NCL rolling thru Montana!

First issued catalogue numbers are 63004-3 and -4, which suggests that other sub-numbers may be in the pipeline, presumably with different road numbers. Phillips 66 is correct for the tankers. Philips usually refers to the electronics company of Eindhoven, Netherlands ( Holland ).

Good book if you can find it. "The Vista-Dome North Coast Limited: The Story of the Northern Pacific Railway's Famous Domeliner" by William R. Kuebler Jr.
I got my Loewy NP F7's ordered, and decals made to renumber some. Can't wait for the NP freight units.
