Remember that Hans said that there were 2 more previously unannounced locomotives still "in the works"? Wouldn't it be fantastic if the F40 was one of them? We can only hope and dream.🤔🤤

No comments. But now there are 3 unannounced locomotives "in the works", not 2!

It takes just a DASH of engineering to produce a new loco...and even less to REPRODUCE one.

Calm down everyone. No inside info here. Just a suggestion. As if I ever know what Hans is doing.

RE: Dash 9... I would have to get a second job.
Between my wanted list of ES44s, SD70ACes, SD40-2s, and Dash 9s, I could easily end up buying 30-40 locos in the next 3-4 years. And yeah I would definitely get one F40PH too, to turn into a Cabbage to run Amtrak's Heartland Flyer. (would need a couple of the El Cap transition coaches decorated for Amtrak too, hint hint)

Doug, Let's just say, you should probably up your savings rate asap. Or prepare to rob a bank?

I hear kidneys have a good resale value too....just sayin' My kidneys have superpowers, so I bet they're really worth top dollar. Funny you should mention it, but (allegedly) bank robbing is my FIRST job...so I need to diversify. It's been a minute since a good ponzi scheme has come along, may try that. I'll end up in some posh facility that will permit model railroads, I'm sure of it.

I don't know what I'd do if AZL brought a F40PH to the table. I also want to know why the F59PHi wouldn't be a good fit for those shells, last time I had a F59PHi the mechanism was pretty thick, so it could likely be milled down to fit.
Livers are good for that, and they have Deadpool powers. XD

If your lucky maybe the proprietor of that "posh facility" will let you sell any extra model Railroading supplies that your sure to make during your stay. I for one will support your endeavor and order a couple pounds of: "Dazed Doug's" Hand Hammered Ballast"
