Received the May/June magazine to day with the Archistories Garage. Thank you very much. Great magazine edition. The articles on Ztrack's T-Track-Z Corner Module and Track Planning 101 are great. I believe this magazine is a great resource for us foundering around trying to make small layouts and modules. Still plotting and planning on my next project. Happy Wednesday!!

Yes, what an incredible surprise! Thank you to AZL Z-Track Magazine for the gift. I think a lot of us are in the "plotting and planning our next project" phase.

Sorry, but compare the prices :
I have several "copies" of it (double versions too), I think in Z nobody can note any significant differences. You need only painting ...
PS : I don't have any shares from Outland ...

Alberich,
You were looking for people sitting on the ground. It seems Outland has some camping sets that include such figures. Maybe they could do you a custom set with just the figures?

Ztrack magazine is a great example of the growth in Z. When I started my subscription ( just before RobK took over), it was around 8 pages and also included Nn3 and HO2 1/2 scales. Today it’s exclusively Z and around 40 pages. Over the same period, Model Railroader has gone from over 100 pages down to just over 40.

I use N scale figures and the size does not matter unless you are real particular. I have used Woodland Scenic. Also check out Mini Prints of Toronto, CN.

I note greatly significant differences (like massive) and the time/cost to paint make the Outland version way more expensive. Build and go with Archistories. Outland, you're pretty much putting lipstick (paint) on a ... well ...

Thanks all! Just for the record, these are not from AZL, but Ztrack. Yes, we are totally different companies. Also, I am not sure why the cost is a factor... these are FREE! You just have to be a Ztrack Magazine subscriber. Frank at Z.Scale.Hobo and I are huge fans of Archistories. I plan to release more kits in the future. One of my goals is to release kits that work well with AZL rolling stock and locomotives. You have to justify all those loads on your layout, right? We have a few more kits in the pipeline. But more on that later. For now, enjoy building the garages. We had a lot of fun developing them!

Nuts! I picked a bad time to let my subscription lapse I did it on purpose as I felt like I was paying for a magazine full of add copy but to be fair there were occasionally good (but always very short) articles. Anyway, I am a nut for Archistories kits and that was a very cool thing to do!

"alberich" if you don't want your Ztrack / Archistories Garage kit you can feel free to send it to me. I would be happy to build it and put it on one of my modules.

Nuts! I picked a bad time to let my subscription lapse I did it on purpose as I felt like I was paying for a magazine full of add copy but to be fair there were occasionally good (but always very short) articles. Anyway, I am a nut for Archistories kits and that was a very cool thing to do! You can always restart it. And ask Rob to send you this last issue with the kit as your first issue in your new subscription. As for feeling like your paying for a magazine full of add copy well i can't fault you there. The magazine does seam to be lacking a little lately. I'm hoping it is just that Rob has been so busy with sales, that he hasn't had time to keep up with the magazine. But in any case I believe in support our hobby so I will be keeping my subscription up to date. I'm also going to take this opportunity to thank Rob for all the hard work he puts into Ztrack Magazine and for the Archistories Garage Kit. I'm no writer but I'm going to try and help with the lack of articles by finishing a how-to write-up i've been working on and send it up to Rob later today. It may not be a long article but it will be new content that may interest quite few readers. Maybe some of you could do the same and submit a article or two. How else is the world going to learn about that New Exciting Z scale project that your working on. Rob maybe you could Chime in and let us know what kind of Content or should I say Z related topics you would be interested in putting into Ztrack Magazine, What format it should be in, Picture size/format, and the best way to get the content to you. Absolutely. I am happy to back date subscriptions. And we have plenty of extra kits to send out. I know it may seem that Ztrack is heavy with add copy, but that is due to our position as both a magazine, and leading Z scale distributor. The hard part for us is that we represent the leading companies in Z scale. Folks quickly think that when we do an article on AZL or Rokuhan, it is because of our relationship. But the fact is, it is because our position of promoting Z scale, including all companies, even those we don't represent. And you do see those companies in our pages. We have also taken the position that we must report on all new releases. Want to know what Marklin released in 2006? We covered it in our pages. How about MTL in 1997, again, it is in Ztrack. That is part of our history. I have always said that Ztrack is not mine, but yours. What do you, the readers, want? For instance, you may have noticed all the track plans we have published the past few years. That is from feedback from readers who stated they wanted more of these. The fact is that I can't solely write all the articles. I really need more submissions and content. It keeps the magazine fresh and interesting. We need articles on all topics, from layouts, to how-to. The more you, the readers, can share, the better the magazine will be. We are really easy when it comes to format and pictures. Simply email us your article and photos. Photos should be high-resolution. We can take it from there. We really try to make it that easy. Drop us a line at the following email addresses. ztrack@aol.com sales@ztrack.com We would love to hear from you!
