In the video, their demo train is running ABB. If they don't produce extra B units to run prototypical, then might this be considered deceptive advertising? I hope you're joking. You'd be better of just buying a bunch of A-B sets, piling the A's up and setting them on fire. (Legal disclaimer: please don't try this at home.) Still would be much cheaper than hiring an attorney to take down AZL for "deceptive advertising". Regarding the B-units and the additional cars for a longer train.... They did state very clearly that they were going to do another run so it would seem both of these items could be addressed then. Agreed it is important to stump for some additional B's though...you would think Hans aka "Mr SP" would have anticipated the demand for the B-units. They do seem to have the capability to re-run things much more quickly of late. (Except for ES44's, that is.) Hopefully you guys will get what you desire sooner than later. Dude, who said anything about attorneys and suing? Obviously, it was a rhetorical question to make people think and didn't really require an answer, And does anybody really sue because the burger they bought at the store is not as big "as seen on TV"? I stated obvious facts and asked a question about business practices that some people may question as being ethical or otherwise. You glossed over the qualifying phrase "IF THEY DON'T PRODUCE EXTRA B UNITS TO RUN PROTOTYPICAL" which of course is a big "if". Yes, they did say they would produce more of the Golden State, but they did not specifically say they would produce more B units. If you search through the archives of this forum, there is quite a number of posts and threads enquiring or asking for more B units for those who want to run ABB. And we have yet to see B unit only releases for any AZL diesel models. AZL is obviously the premier North American Z scale manufacturer. And everyone would love for them to produce our favorite railroad, our favorite diesel, our favorite freight car, favorite passenger car/train, etc. Just look at all the requests and inquiries on the forum. In a perfect world, we would all get what we want in Z scale from AZL. But until then, some of us will keep asking for separate B units. Not everyone is a "sue happy" lawyer.

I’m just happy that you guys are this passionate about Z scale and the products we make. We take feedback seriously. While that’s not a promise that we can accommodate every request, we do try to spot trends and adjust our products accordingly. Please remember that the development and production timelines are LONG - commonly measured in years - so patience is advised.
Enjoy! Rob

Not everyone is a "sue happy" lawyer. My apologies. I think you missed a handful of smile emoji's but clearly you took my comments more seriously than intended. And, I didn't word them very well either so again...sorry to ruffle feathers. I'm on your side...I truly hope you guys get your extra B-units. I generally enjoy model trains of any type, even if I'm not buying them and I appreciate the desire for prototypical consists as that is a big part of what I strive for as well. Admittedly there's also a selfish aspect of it, as it gives my hobby budget a breather.

Rob Rob, Hans, Rob - Thank you for all that you do for us in Z scale. Truly you guys are the best. It's just that this has been an ongoing issue about the scarcity of available B units for those wanting to run ABB based on past posts and comments. And this seemed like another "missed opportunity" to provide B units for an iconic train. I realize that the Golden State was planned long ago and that whatever was produced is all that's available at this time. However, I (and hopefully a few others) would love to see a future release of B units for the Golden State and other diesels - E7, E8/9, F3, F7. And also please consider extra B units for yet to be released F7's, PB1's, and the next round of F3's. I'm guessing that you would sell a fair number of B units - especially for those lines that ran ABB such as UP, SP, ATSF, and others. Heck you could even take preorders for B units. I would sign up for lots of them right now. g

I can see why the numbers were left-off on the Santa Fe “B” units. The discrepancy between mixed set numbers should not be noticed. This IS a Sweet issue!
