Greetings All,
I am brand new to AZL forum AND products. Not sure I am posting to right forum?
My question is - Can skins from the #62000 series be interchanged - installed on the #6200 series with the 8mm Faulhauber can motor without modification? I have accumulated several #6200s but not the road names I need. Since 'skins' are no longer made, assumption, I am pursuing this option as it appears the #6200 are have the superior chassis and motor. I am DC only at this time.
Are modifications necessary?
I ran an abbreviated search on this topic and found ZERO. Of course, I could have not asked the question properly?
Thank You! Mac

Mac hello! Yes you swap the shells (skins) of like locomotives. AZL designed chassis specifically for the class of locomotive. So all GP7/9s have the same dimension chassis, and consequence the shell. This is regardless of the release date.
What may not work is swapping chassis from one type to another. For instance, a GP30 shell may not work on the GP38 chassis as the GP38 chassis in longer.
But I also wouldn't dive into swapping shells just for the Faulhauber motor. Try one of each. You will find that the new motors from AZL run extremely well!

Rob, Thank You so much for your input. Just what I needed. I will be comparing Faulhauber with the other motor as well since seperate bodies are not available? Thanks again! Mac
