Fast freight? Ernest Borgnine! So I'll admit I thought this was a strange Airwolf reference until I Googled it.

Or banning the ebay resellers. It doesn't take to much detective work.

Or banning the ebay resellers. It doesn't take to much detective work. I don't know if there is need to ban them. eBay a good indicator of continued interest in an AZL product. Most recently the PFE release sold out fast, but I've yet to see one in resale. There are some really good deals, but there are a lot of scams with AZL products on eBay. The one I noted this week are RDCs with a 25% mark-up from in-stock at AZL Direct, no returns. Ship USPS ground. Insurance extra. And at least RobK should get royalties for his images.

Perhaps it's time for another rush PO? Since the PFEs always ran as unit trains, I bought up everything in sight for the UPFEs and missed out on the PFE only because I'm on the west coast. I've started get up at 3:00AM on release days just to get a crack at the offerings. I don't envy AZL (or MTL for that matter) in trying to estimate market demand. I guess reasonable criteria for a second run rush or otherwise, could be: sold out in less than 2 days and didn't appear on eBay a week later. Brooklyn Locomotive Works did inventory last month and found some long sold out Z scale 51' PFE (and FGE) cars. Their website is awful to negotiate (worse than ZSM, even) so if you find them, you deserve to have them. Good luck, Mark

Thanks for the heads up, but I already have those. What I’m looking for now are the mechanical.

Received both the Roma Wines tanks and UPFE. Haven't had time to play with them (next weekend) but both look really good. Particularly the wine car, the image above doesn't quite give it proper credit for the details. Seems a bit heaver than the similar MTL car, but that could just be the wheels.
The Union Oil car would be a nice addition, and I still have some money left in my trains account, even after the WP F7s.

I have to agree, these new 8,000 Gallon Tank Cars are beautiful and have again, set a new standard for Z scale rolling stock. For years we only dreamed of having prototypical tank cars that matched the accuracy of many of the other cars in our scale. Then AZL produced their 23,000 Gallon Tank Cars and they were a game changer. Soon after, AZL produced their 33,000 Gallon LPG Tank Cars and their 17,600 Gallon Corn Syrup Tank Cars. Our modern tank car rosters were looking good. Now, with these 8,000 Gallon Tank Cars, our transition era rosters can be proud. Thank you AZL!!! Bill Mock
