I would like to paint a wide-vision caboose in the Frisco colors to match the AZL locomotive.
Thanks,
Jim

Somebody was discussing that in a previous post awhile back. Have you tried the Frisco Historical Society? Sure be nice if AZL would do a second run of WV cabooses, including Frisco!

It will be interesting to hear how it works out. One of the problems with using paint by name is that the manufacturer can use any color formula they want. So it will be of interest to everyone modeling the Frisco to know if this is a match.

Yes to both But also need a NH F unit The only NH F-Units were FL9s. The role dedicated to traditional F-Units with NH was held by ALCO FA1s. Dom

Any suggestions on how to mask the caboose?

If what you are trying to duplicate looks like: my suggestion would be: don't. Paint your caboose the Chevy engine red and get an appropriate white stripe decal sheet from Microscale. They're simple white stripes that should be easy to apply. For the herald, checkout what they have for Frisco decals for a locomotive. A door decal may be about the right size. Just seal the white stripe well before you try to apply the herald. Let us know how it turns out. Sorry for sounding a bit like a Microscale salesman today. Mark

Good idea - it would be a lot cleaner!
Mine will be a wide-vision

I think so in this case. If the pattern were more complicated, I'd use paint.
If you haven’t done large decals over a complex surface, get your self a bottle of micro-solv and micro-set or somrthing similiar and practice on a scrap car. It takes some practice, but I think results can be quite good.
