It has been 3 years since we last polled on your favorite locomotive. Since then we have added the ES44AC and RS series of locos. Also new runs of the GP38-2s. So let us here what is your favorite! Three years ago, the SD70ACe series was the clear winner by far!

I’ve yet to buy RS-3 so I’m not sure on it. I’m amazed on how the first generation GP 7’s ran until I bought them last Year on Black Friday sale. Like The GP 38’s and ES 44 AC too. It was hard to just pick one.

Man, this is tough. Can we vote for 3 of them?

There isn't an "All of the above".

I don't know how long the Poll is going to stay open but I have narrowed my choice down to either my GP-7s or the RSD-5s. MY ES44ACs and E8's are strong contenders also.
Hopefully the Poll will stay open long enough for me to make a final decision and cast my vote.

It's hard to beat the ES44AC in my book. Hopefully another run will be done eventually so I can buy more BNSF, ideally including the H-II scheme.
But, the new run GP38-2's are a very very close second. My brand spankin' new BNSF GP38-2 looks incredible. Also I have retrofitted all of my old Geeps with the new mechs and it is a game changer...DCC is sooo much easier.

The first AZL engines I ever bought were two UP GP7s. Both ran great (and one still does – the other took a hard dive off the table in an derailment). Having previously done only MTL, they were eye opening. The Mikados were similar with regard to Marklin engines – now if AZL would just do some more steam ... like a nice Hudson, for example!

The first AZL engines I ever bought were two UP G7s. Both ran great (and one still does – the other took a hard dive off the table in an derailment). Having previously done only MTL, they were eye opening. The Mikados were similar with regard to Marklin engines – now if AZL would just do some more steam ... like a nice Hudson, for example! Hudson... Great Idea!

And a Hudson could be one shell away from GS locomotive. Didn’t RobA mention looking into one a long time ago?
I’ll take that back', I can’t count drive wheels. But I’d still be interested.
