I was going through my z scale stuff the other day and came across my two favorite items from AZL. The Santa Fe mission style depot and freight house and the SP signal tower. Funny story, I picked up the SP signal tower from my local hobby shop years ago. They didn't carry z scale really at all a few pieces of MTL tracks and cars and there was that tower out of all places! That leads me to this question. What is everyones favorite AZL item?

I would say the GP38.
All around timeless classic, great runner, inexpensive, and comes in about every road name now with the addition of the new run.

I am a fan of the GP38 as well. Looks even better with the plow and pilots that are added on the 2nd and 3rd runs. I would really like to see some short line and patch out units. Con rail would be a classic z scale GP38 for sure. Interesting, MKT ran a few of these with an MKT decal on the side. Easy patch out unit for AZL! EMD lease unit paint scheme would look cool, too!

The Ajin manufactured brass, steam engines: GS-4, Challenger and AC-12 Cab forward :-) all of them are timeless masterpieces in Z scale. I would also add the brass Alco PA-1, of which unfortunately I own none.
