For the final week of our Black Friday specials, and with the New Year right around the corner, we have PS2-CD Runner Packs! This is a great way to fill out, or to begin, your freight rosters.

I thought I was going to be 0 for 5 this year but I've had the UP set on my wish list for a while! Thanks AZL!

Can someone from AZL clear up a few things with the Farmers Co-Op sets? The photos and descriptions are all over the place. I will post a few replies for each set since it is a lot of information.
NOTE: I'm not here trying to point fingers about photos and numbers being scrambled. I'm simply trying to make sure what I *THINK* I ordered is actually what I'm getting. In short, if the photos are representative scheme-wise I'm good.
I'll start with Set 1 AZL P/N: 90935-1
For starters, I went to photos from ZScaleMonster.com . Now, I concede that it isn't 100% fair to blame AZL on ZSM's photos, but these WERE the photos I consulted when the sale came up since the ZSM photos were larger and more useful. (or so I thought) The schemes from these photos appear to match the schemes in the photos on the AZL Black Friday Page but the reporting marks and road numbers don't match. Here is the information taken from the photos. CEFX 151363 Farmers Cooperative Association - Hordville, Nebraska (Light Blue) NOKL 823982 Morrison-Quirk Grain Corp (Gray) NOKL 830600 West Bend Elevator Co - Iowa (Gray) PTLX 34597 Superior Co-Op Elevator Co - Superior, Iowa (Orange)
Now, the description from ZSM, the AZL Black Friday Page, the AZL Direct Site, and the AZL Website all seem to mostly match with regards to the schemes, but reporting marks and road numbers don't match up. (i.e. FURX aka NOKL, DME aka PTLX, and FURX aka NOKL schemes match photo on Black Friday Page, reporting marks/road numbers don't; I'm unclear about the CEFX Sutton Co-op car to know if it matches up with the CEFX Farmers Cooperative Associations scheme noted above.) FURX 830701 (West Bend) CEFX 19205 (Sutton Co-Op) FURX 823968 (Morrison-Quirk) DME 34648 (Superior Co-Op)
Next, I looked at the AZL Direct individual photos of the cars within the Set pages. These tend to match up with the ZSM photos. CEFX 151363 Farmers Cooperative Association - Hordville, Nebraska (Light Blue) FURX 823968 Morrison-Quirk Grain Corp (Gray) FURX 830701 West Bend Elevator Co - Iowa (Gray) PTLX 34648 Superior Co-Op Elevator Co - Superior, Iowa (Orange)
This is one of the sets I ordered. My real "want" is the CEFX car, light blue with no black ends or bottom. (my goal is to strip lettering and make this a Rock Island "Rock" scheme.) I also like the random gray cars, and wouldn't mind that orange Superior Co-op car too. So if the photos are legit, I'm happy....the reporting marks and road numbers are pretty irrelevant to me.

Now for Set 2 AZL P/N: 90938-1
Again, I went to photos from ZScaleMonster.com . The schemes from these photos appear to match the schemes in the photos on the AZL Black Friday Page but the road numbers don't match. Here is the information taken from the photos.
NAHX 53763 Valley Nitrogen Producers (Gray) TLDX 9056 Rogers Grain Co - Cynthiana, Ind. (Light Blue w/ Black End/Bottom) RREX 4190 Albert City Elev (Pink) GROX 60654 Union Equity (Yellow)
Now, the description from ZSM, the AZL Black Friday Page, the AZL Direct Site, and the AZL Website all seem to mostly match. GROX 60725 (Union Equity) TLDX 9063 (Rogers Grain) NAHX (Valley Nitrogen) RREX 4187 (Albert City)
Now, when I went to the AZL Direct individual photos, none of them matched the above information at all. CEFX 151363 Farmers Cooperative Association - Hordville, Nebraska (Light Blue) PTLX 34648 Superior Co-Op Elevator Co - Superior, Iowa (Orange) FURX 823968 Morrison-Quirk Grain Corp (Gray) FURX 830701 West Bend Elevator Co - Iowa (Gray)
This is not a set I ordered, but I wanted to include the info for posterity sake. (trust me, I wouldn't mind having it, but I had to limit my spend.)

And finally Set 3 AZL P/N: 90939-1 (p/n actually incorrectly states Set 2 on AZL site)
Again, I went to photos from ZScaleMonster.com . The schemes from these photos appear to match the schemes in the photos on the AZL Black Friday Page but the road numbers don't match. Here is the information taken from the photos. NAHX 475646 Jewell Coop Elev - Jewell Iowa (BN Green) PLCX 22379 Frito-Lay Inc - Dallas, Texas (Gray) BN 463574 Arthur Farmers Elev Co - Artuur N.D. (Neon Yellow) CNW 182971 Klemme Coop Grain - Klemme Iowa (Pink)
Now, the description from ZSM, the AZL Black Friday Page, the AZL Direct Site, and the AZL Website all seem to match, but they don't necessarily match up with photos. (Jewell and Frito-Lay schemes match photos on ZSM/Black Friday/AZL/Direct Page but the IC cars--Aurora Co-op and Growth Nonstock--don't appear to match anything at all.) NAHX 475640 (Jewell Co-Op) PLCX 22380 (Frito-Lay) IC 768713 (Aurora Co-Op) IC 768763 (Growth Nonstock)
This is one of the sets I ordered. I really expected to get a Frito-Lay car and the pink Klemme car. Would like the yellow BN-patched car but not a deal-killer, and the Jewell car isn't a big deal. So, just curious what I'll receive. (and what those IC cars look like since I can't find any photos of them anywhere. I have found online photos of similar prototype cars.)

Rob is correct: the pictures are what are included in the set. The correct road numbers are:
NAHX 475640 (Jewell Co-Op) PLCX 22380 (Frito-Lay) CNW 182966 (Klemme Co-Op) BN 464983 (Arthur Farmers Elev. Co.)
This was a paperwork mix-up as an old production plan called for the other cars that were listed.

So, Rob Albritton question: did these Co-op sets use a different printing method than AZL normally uses? One of the thing I like about *most* AZL items is the fact that it is typically easy to remove lettering using known methods. I attempted to remove lettering from the blue CEFX car using my typical process (the MicroSol method documented in several mags and on Athearn's YouTube page) and NOTHING budged, not remotely. Usually, that method will at least show some progress after multiple applications. I'm going to "up the game" next with some slightly stronger chemicals, but I was curious if there was some trick to whatever printing/ink y'all used on these. I'm trying to convert the blue car to a "Route Rock" Rock Island covered hopper.
