2x 60t M1 on a 4 axle flat car, yeah, right....no Truth. But FYI, Stony Smith has some of the 68ft DODX flats on Shapeways. (at my request) If you have any feedback about improving his model let me know and I'll bend his ear. There are also some Buckeye trucks on Shapeways as well...they're an older version so not completely right but they're closer than anything else. So a passable DODX car can be created...I am working with Stony on improvements and might eventually put together an etched metal fret of tie-down chains if there is enough interest. I would like actually do an etched deck as well to laminate onto a modified version of Stony's car, but that would really require some effort and dollars and more importantly time that I don't have right now. I have enough stuff collected right now to put together an 18-car train....mix of DODX 68ft cars and OTTX 60ft cars (carry smaller equipment). Here is the train I am modeling: (EDIT: I'm not sure why the photo links aren't firing, but if you click on the DODX hyperlink below the photos it will take you to the album with the individual photos and information on each car.) .

RTTX with 1 x M1 Abrams is correct. Our sets feature 2 x M1s. View AttachmentI've been collecting the military loads for a while and this was my plan... one heavy tank or howitzer per flat car and 3, 4, or even 5 of the lightweights on other cars... you know... whatever looks right and looks to be credible!
