Hello, I was interested to know if there were any plans in the works to release a loco or rolling stock in the Rock Island Blue scheme? I’ve got a small herd of The Rock rolling stock looking for a loco love connection.   Thanks, Jonathan |

The only way for now is custom painting  I fully agree. But many are shy to do so.   No need! We tried it as well, you really individualize your rolling stock with it. Just remove the dynamic brake in the hood, and custom paint it. Looks like it'd be an easy one for Gerd! Same for the Geep behind it, just paint and decals. |

I think CMR Products may have the Rock Island decals. 😷
(They've got hundreds of decal sets for Z scale rolling stock.)

I just recently got into Z coming from an HO background as a lad and I cannot find any engines in my favorite RI blue. It's what drew me to model railroading in the first place after seeing one of those blue engines in person. I was in awe and have box cars and such but can find no caboose or engines. I reached out to micro-trains and they have no plans for any at this time. Time to learn to mask and paint, thanks for the CMR reference.
Gerd, do you do contract work? I have nerve damage due to combat injuries and way too shaky hands.

Gerd does everything from custom paint to scratchbuilding. I have a U30C he built for me on the MT SD40-2 chassis and a GP50 on an AZL GP38 chassis with orders in for others. He is very much in demand and the work is worth waiting for.
