This is not a new product announcement Just to let you know that we are going to try to speed up brass runs. Currently we have two announced; The N&W J class and SBB Ae 8/14. We have also signed off another brass locomotive to follow these two. And we are also considering making a few more Big Boys to celebrate 4014 which will be under steam in 2020. In the future we will make sure that all diesel locomotive trucks are powered. We will also try to power all steam locomotive drivers. And DCC installation should be easier. We get feedback that we produce too few units. Historically that was not true, but please pre-order when we announce brass products. Thus you make sure you get yours and we can manufacture the correct number.

Count me in for a Big Boy if you make them. Would it be possible to have a retrofit kit made to power the front truck on the Krauss-Maffei? Looks like it would only require a Pass through mount for the body, a drive shaft, and a truck with the upper gear/driveshaft mount like the rear one.
What about Sound? Any chance AZL will produce DCC-Sound ready Loco's?

I definitely support the pre-order system. However, it would be nice for you to do a few more build-to-stock units. I've been trying to promote Z scale locally, and it can be a letdown to people when they realize that of the 30-odd U.S. locomotives built, 2/3 are available only in the resale market.

2/3? For brass engines the percentage is 100%. Or rather: 100% of what is currently on sale is on the secondary market. Almost all locos came and went:-P

I would rather you speed up plastic runs. Definitely need a plastic C44-9W for starters.
You have a nice little "critical mass" building with your plastic releases and starting to attract the attention of more and more model railroaders in other scales. That market is ripe and needs to have that momentum continue. Locomotives with four-figure price tags brings that momentum crashing down for that particular market.

I've noticed Model Railroader is more and more, showing AZL releases on a regular basis, attracting more into Z-scale. Nice to see it more mainstream!
