Nice job. Great scheme.
The shop hand that painted the SP on the fireman's side must have already given up on the merger. :-) (If you haven't set the decals yet, you might want to look at the placement of the SP letters on the left side of the loco.)

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. I looked at dozens of pictures and didn’t catch that! Now I have to fix it

Body has been stripped and repainted. Updated pictures tomorrow....stupid mistake. I have no issue doing a repaint. Sometimes that’s what takes me so long. I don’t want to send something out the door that I’m not happy with.

The yellow SP isn’t a decal. It’s yellow paint. I made a clear decal with red outline to go over it. It wasn’t as simple as just removing a decal

Sorry, didn't mean to cause you so much consternation. But, I would have wanted someone to tell me that.
It looks very nice and very correct now. Great work as always.

Yes, it's a good technique for doing white lettering if you don't have a scarce white ink printer and want to avoid fixing the thin white line around white decal stock. Mark

I have an alps printer so making the decals isn’t too hard. I have quite a few railroad fonts and logos but some have to be drawn and that is where it gets tricky. I have to draw it in illustrator, save it as a pdf on a thumb drive, upload it to my old desktop that runs the printer. A lot of decals can be done in a Word program. I’ve used the clear decal method before with a few Rio grande engines. The alps printer doesn’t print orange.

I bought a two color pad printer (that remains in the crate) because of wanting to achieve those results. Good job.
