I wanted to share a few notes on the Citirail ES44AC. This one is a must for those modeling the BNSF! Citirail has 125 ES44ACs. These are primarily being leased by the BNSF. They brought into service to help move crude oil starting in 2013. The following is from Wikipedia:
15 ES44AC units, numbered 1201-1215, delivered in December 2012 50 ES44AC units, numbered 1301-1350, delivered in late 2013 35 ES44AC units, numbered 1401-1435, delivered in mid-late 2014 25 ES44AC units, numbered 1501-1525, delivered in mid 2015. Ferromex is renting these 25 Citirail locomotives for 2016.
Looking at photos of these online, sure enough you see them running with BNSF quite a lot. But you will see them also paired with pretty much every other road name out there! I found lotos of them with UP, CSX, NS and KCS locos in addition to the BNSF and Ferromex.
I am a fan of the lease units. They can add a little prototypical variety to your consists.

Out here in Western Washington, they are on almost every oil train you see, and some are even on occasional intermodal trains as well!! Very common on BNSF for the last couple years around here.

I see them all the time on the BNSF Marceline sub. Looks like I need to add one to my collection with my next order.
