Two trucks (Shapeways)
About the markings on the trailers : 2) The " Roadrunner" transportation can be found on WWW ! 3) And even " ACME" exists, and they make ... MODEL TRAINS, but only in HO.
So there is nothing which is pure fancy !

The layout almost finished :
Some things to be still done : - Adding some (very few) figures. - A new control panel with supplementary functions, and some new circuits ; improving the software. - A black "curtain" around the rear edges, to close the tunnels. - And finally ... CLEANING THE ROOM !

Chapeau, Alberich!
Very well done! I like it how you give your railroad room to breathe. The surrounding nature plays the main role and makes the whole scenery so credible. Please, show us a video and / or come to the z-scale convention to Altenbeken / Allemange with your layout!

Thanks, Texrail ... Unfortunately the layout is VERY DIFFICULT to move without damage, so I can't come to Altenbeken. Interested guys (most often people with their ... grandchildren. Or modeller friends) will come and visit it in my cellar. But I promise to put a video on YouTube, when the layout will be completely finished. As I said, I want to improve the control panel (I am waiting for the panel itself, melamine laminated and made by my carpenter) and add as a gimmick (if I succeed) for the youngsters : a speech recognition to start the trains. I will test a module made by Elechouse, called Simple VR : they advertise that it is speaker independent but works only, with a fixed vocabulary, in English ... and Chinese. Unfortunately, and since this module has no adjustable threshold, it could be VERY SENSITIVE to background noise, excepted if I use a VERY GOOD (I have a Shure headset) unidirectional mike (but the problem with breathing will remain) ! While a train is running the background is not a problem, the module will be inactivated but I am afraid that the (in fact not very loud) noise of the motors of the 3 merry-go-round's (which are active even when no train is running and are started and stopped asynchronously via an ATTiny13 processor) could cause issues ...

It does not work with my mike (I used a lavalier version). Some words are confused by the system : for example counterclockwise and clockwise, or right and left (remember : the left hand is where the thumb is right ). And Elechouse makes another board with training, threshold not adjustable ; Youtube is full of demos with this one (connected to Arduino), but too many of the words that I use are rejected. So the main controller board has the (serial) connections for two boards (ATMega162 ; recognition and talking for feedback) , but I must wait till a reliable speech recognition is available. I saw an article (in French) about controlling a locomotive (in DCC ) via speech recognition with the Easy VR3 board (with training), I tested this device but noticed that one week later some words were no more recognized (maybe that I used a too strict threshold ? ), all the way my voice had changed enough to cause such issues. Finally nothing is more ridiculous for kids than an unreliable system. And please, don't talk about Alexa : Big Brother is watching (listening to) You ...

Let's imagine you invite someone from another country and I use my Swissfrench saying S'il vous plait loco septante-deux avant🤣🤣 One day you will get it to work.. it's like with my 3 D printer.. bonne chance-- good luck👍🏼🙏🏻 Boris
