OK. I'm planning a surprise for the group.
I need an answer ASAP.
What is the "average" center to center distance of powered axles from the AZL locomotives diesel, and steamer?
Comparing Z to N.

For the diesels the prototype truck wheelbase (which is what I think you're asking) run from about 9ft for the GPs up to 14ft for the E trucks.

Ok, I was always good in Math so: 14ft*12in/220*25.4 = 19mm 9ft*12in/220*25.4 = 12.5mm
Putting my N scale cap on: 14ft*12in/160*25.4 = 25mm
I'm confused?

I was wrong about N scale axles.
Thanks Mark
I'm moved in now but my calipers are still packed. We are adapting an N scale item for Z and had to email the OK.
Got it done. Thanks again.
