Nice! That must have been a lot of work aligning the decals. Is there just one per side, or several?

Thanks everyone. There are 10 decals per side plus decals on the front. The decals were designed and drawn in illustrator. They have to be scaled to size and drawn black so the color can be made by single color printing to obtain the various colors.

All the decals are printed with a white undercoat first, and then layers on top of that.

10 per side! You'd never know because they are aligned so well. That takes patience.

10 per side! You'd never know because they are aligned so well. That takes patience. Now I'm much more impressed with your decal artwork and labor than painting the loco silver with a green roof. That's really artistry! Genius to figure out and a masterpiece of patience.

Excellent job. Too bad you don't have a set of passenger cars to go with it.

The painting isn’t the hard part. It’s the very time consuming and tedious work of making the decals and applying them. I’m many cases, the decals are printed on paper for testing several times before being printed on decal film. Then getting them just right can be drive me crazy. Stripes are the worst. Trying to do a passenger car stripe and get it straight is not an easy task.
