So after releasing the KCS ES44ACs on Friday, I was driving near Findlay, OH yesterday, and saw two of these locos leading a double stack intermodal train heading North. I did a double take. Talk about timing!

Talk about timing! That's great, Rob! A nice surprise. I love seeing the different flags across the rail lines of America. Did the road numbers match the AZL releases?

Sorry no pictures. Driving up on I-75. Actually first saw these guys in motion on route 68. We stopped for breakfast, only to catch up with them stopped off in the distance on I-75. Af first, I didn't recognize the scheme. They were not the cleanest locos! But we go a good look with them stopped. Definitely KCS. Sorry, I couldn't see the numbers or catch a photo. I did a quick web search and it is not uncommon to see KCS around Findlay. www.railpictures.net/photo/417688/www.railpictures.net/photo/417747/Rob

Yep, KCS units definitely get around. I see them all over. This is a great release, and I love the Southern Belle scheme.

If you saw them along route 68 to Findlay, Rob, they must have been running on the CSX track out of Kenton, OH. That's the same track line where the "Crazy Eights" incident occurred, with the runaway finally being brought to a stop in Kenton. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CSX_8888_incidentIt inspired the movie "Unstoppable."
