The canadian is a series of passenger cars ordered by the Canadian pacific in 1955 from the budd rail company. The coach cars are the same as the amtrak budd's and I believe the skyline and sleepers are the same as the california zephyr though not sure on that one. The only unique cars were the end park cars with dome. They are still in service today for via rail and can been seen on discovery channel's mighty train series in N scale, Kato has made them, and in HO, it was rapido trains www.exporail.org/can_rail/Canadian%20Rail_no503_2004.pdfwww.dropbox.com/s/051mbxodrm79ceb/TheCanadian.pdf?dl=0

Hey if they could do like atlas did with the alco S2 and actually use the shell as a sound ballast, I would pay up to 400$ if they could add sound... and I guess I'm gonna be in the 5% soon, thanks Gerd for that GMD-1, can't wait to get my hands on it

All right, to answer my own questions... The Atlas track and joiners because of it's width, is a perrfect match to handlaidtrack's rail and joiners. Micro trains line will join to the atlas track using the atlas joiners. The reverse doesn't work, they cannot be joined with micro train joiners. Since I have both and because this is a new layout, the Atlas track is easier to layout but forget about drilling and nailing it, it has to be carpenter glued to the road bed. But on the positive note, it looks way more prototypical than MTL flex and is way easier to bend and shape because of the fixed rail... Thats my 2 cents... I will be putting my MTL flex on industry sidelines... Now if only AZL could make us a dcc switcher ยด a nice GMD-1 or an Alco S2

I have both mtl and atlas but haven't laid them out yet, will the mtl join to the atlas even though it is larger with the atlas joiners?

I'll let Gerd work on the GMD-1 just so I can get Jason at Rapido trains jealous while I concentrate on my layout, including hand laid rails... but the styrene might be a future project I could look at down the road, With the 3d printer I want to buy and the laser cutter too haha
