Alex, That is great news. Your analogy with the monkey is spot on and I have to admit I had a few chuckles from the way you said it! Hopefully someone will be able to get the monkey to peaceably trade the grenade for a couple bananas... Hang in there and stay safe!

Thank you very much for your kind support! I would be happy if I could influence on this somehow But so far everything tells that we can get rid of all problems only under the following conditions: PS. Sorry for the off-topic! Alex Alex, Hopefully you are safe and in good health and spirits. I am sure that I am not alone in wishing that you will remain safe. You have been part of our community, our family for a while and have made a great contribution to the Z Scale club! Hang in there, we are hoping the best for you! Mark

Hi Hans,
I looked back through the posts and did not see the question previously... I may have missed it...
Will the SD40T-2 (tunnel motor) version that were made for SP, D&RGW, and Cotton Belt be released in the 2nd run?
I believe that these road names have quite a few modelers and collectors in the community!
Thanks, Mark

Also, One has to be careful before hitting the order button when a good deal comes up... A couple years ago I ordered several Black Friday special deals and when I received them and went to add them to my collection that is contained by so many storage totes I discovered that I had duplicated road number sets that I already had ! So one needs to keep good track of their inventory especially during the Black Friday Special season! Some popular items will sell out within hours and you may miss a good deal if you have to go digging through what you already have. For duplicate road numbers you might want to consider MTLs “weathering” technique: cover a digit or two with rust or graffiti. You know Mark that is actually a good idea... Over the years I have duplicated quite a few freight cars, (either unknowingly or intentionally) enough autoracks, hoppers, gondolas, etc. to make up a good long train and I would still have the other copies in new condition. I will just need to take the time to learn how to use the air brush that I bought for this hobby... Thanks, Mark

Finally a Friday Special I could go for! I've been planning on getting both the UP and SP ACF-2 4 car sets for a while. Thanks Rob! I was on the unfortunate "wrong" side of that equation....held off for awhile on buying the BNSF Mineral Red set, until a few months ago. However, I did still manage to buy a medium size pile of these 2-Bays this morning. Needed a couple of BN cars and some additional MP and MP/UP cars also. Some will be sold off as combined 4-packs as I don't need so many, but still nice to build up the roster some at a budget-friendly price. Can confirm that middle axle uses wheels without flanges. The PA three axle truck is the longest in our inventory (by far). Our original brass PA ran into all kinds of trouble back in the days since most layouts used 195mm curves or smaller. Also a suggestion from our factory. Needless to say the middle axle is non powered Hans, I can confirm that all of my E7, E8/E9 Locomotives have NO flanges on the center axle and I have not experienced (so far) any issues. So unless I have Amtrak, SP, and UP locos from some odd production run AZL has been doing flangeless center 3 axle trucks for a while. So if anyone out there is having problems with their E7,8,9s negotiating turnouts or crossings maybe now is the time to speak up... Mark

At this time a bit of delay will be appreciated as I have others to spend money on (children, grandchildren) besides myself for Christmas! Although, I can't resist the Phillips tankers!! So Merry Christmas to me!

My situation: A simple Rokuhan track circle, free-floating on a flat and sturdy table (test circuit). All tracks are well connected. SW1500 hangs at two points. There are no problems with any other engine. I personally have not had good luck with free-floating Rokuhan track especially in a simple circle or oval. For some reason this track seems to not perfectly connect and will be tight on the inside rail and loose on the outside actually causing the inside to slightly lift up from the surface it's on. I have for some time now used a figure 8 of Rokuhan 220 radius with a 90° crossing as a test/break in track. I had issues with it when I first used it free-floating but after I fastened it down to a slab of 1" rigid construction foam with double sided scotch adhesive tape no more problems, not even with the SP SW1500s that I recently ran on it! In my personal preference I will not use less than the 220 radius curves, just doesn't look right, especially with longer locomotives, passenger, and freight cars.
