Rob K shows up in just about every forum out there including Hot Russian Dating sites (so i've heard so I figured what the heck. Joe Rob K tells me he actually spends most of his time on www.HotPolishGirlsWhoLoveToyTrains.com, but apparently it is a very one-sided, private conversation.

I'll try to get some numbers from Hans about brass production - I don't have them in my set of company files - but in the meantime, maybe this picture will help? <grin>

Lol, sorry after reading some forums I only knew of hans as the owner, wasnt really sure who was all involved with AZL. Do you have any idea of a time frame you would be releasing more? No worries at all. This way I can direct all complaints to Hans! Perfect. We should have more Well cars within the next 12 months.

Maybe Hans or representative could shed some light if they will be releasing more deepwell cars again. It would make sense givin that the new release of the es44ac locos would go hand and hand with the deepwell cars. Hehehe. Well, Hans is the original "founder" of the company - my 50% came a couple of years after, so I'm happy to be the "representitive" <big grin> Yes, there will be more "deepwell" cars again. And yes, our couplers are compatible with MTL and Bowser couplers, no problem. (The only ones that do NOT work are Marklin - they have their own coupler) Best, -Rob(A) AZL

Hans or Rob...a few posts back, someone asked how many BNSF SD70ACe's were made; can you divulge that information? I wish I could, but the information is competitive as there are other manufactures who would love to know how we do our business. We DO release information on brass runs, as they are specialized products where there is not direct competition and production sizes are important to collectors. We have also produced private runs of products in the past (and still offer that service) where we do not even acknowledge that we have produced the product without the customer's permission.

Hi Guys, We have had requests for the BNSF ES44AC in Heritage II paint. For review, here were the earlier comments: I see the BNSF Heritage III/"Swoosh" in your photos, but are you doing the Heritage II scheme (Yellow Serif BNSF lettering, like on the SD75M) as well this run? We will only be releasing the "Swoosh" design this time around. That's very disappointing. I'm not sure why you would skip one of the most ubiquitous schemes on a locomotive *ever* ... I was also hoping for a BNSF Heritage II release early on for the ES44s. I know I could get an SD75 but the detail looks so much better on the ES44. Hans or Rob, can you give a timeframe for the Heritage II? There were also comments regarding accuracy, research and realism.... I bought all three BNSF Roadnumbers last night and would buy H2's if released. Like others have said BNSF is a mixed bag of paint schemes and for realism, I like to break up the perfect paint schemes consist a little, some H2 would help. Mixing in some BN and ATSF helps too. One other thing, please do a little research before slapping on H2 or any other scheme. Study pics and make sure you match up subtle things like headlight locations and other details. Z is hard enough to work on those of us with big thumbs and diminishing eyesight, without subjecting us to making modifications to our very expensive little engines. So we are in the process of doing that work. Preliminary research indicates that the Heritage II paint on BNSF ES44AC locomotives is very rare. Based on what I have seen, it was only applied to the first 18 ES44AC locomotives delivered to BNSF (5718-5747) which were delivered between August 2003 and January 2004. The Heritage III paint (Swoosh) was intorduced in 2005, and it was applied as factory new paint to the remaining 700+ ES44AC locomotives delivered. Furthermore, the first 18 locomotives were pre-production ES44AC, and may have had some differences with the final production unints. Further research is required. So, in short, it looks like only 4% of the BNSF ES44AC locomotives ever had Heritage II paint, and those might not match the production locomotive that we modeled. BUT, BUT, BUT... There were almost 100 BNSF ES44DC locomotives delivered in Heritage II paint. It appears that BNSF 7650 - 7743 (except 7687 which was used to test the Swoosh logo and 7695 which had a one-of-a-kind "Golden Swoosh" logo) all had H2 paint. Now we need to confirm that there were no EXTERNAL differences between the ES44AC and ES44DC, and it may be possible to produce the BNSF ES44DC in H2. Research continues...

On the topic of paint schemes for the ES44's, I see the CP without the Golden Beaver logo in your photos. I don't expect you did with and without scheme for this first run. So if sales without the Golden Beaver are satisfactory could you do it with with Golden Beaver logo on the next run along with the aforementioned BNSF Heritage II scheme? Paul E. Hi Paul, Hans is the master of research on the ES44AC project, and he is away for a summer holiday, but I did a bit of research and I could not find pictures of any GE ES44AC CP locomotives with the Golden Beaver Logo. Can you point me to a picture of the ES44AC with the Beaver logo? Does anyone know if the Beaver logo was ever actually applied to the ES44AC? I did find the Beaver Logo applied to the GE AC4400CW, which is similar to the ES44AC, but sadly it is not the same locomotive. Thanks, -Rob

Which scheme will be for the KCS? Solid gray or "Southern Belle"? Also, will the UP have "flagged" and "non-flagged" versions? UP = flag only (as far as I know, they all had flags, but Hans is the Master of this project, so he has the research for it. There are a few special locomotives that do not have the Flag, like the Boy Scouts unit, and the Komen Breast Cancer unit, but the "standard" livery has the flag.) KCS = " Southern Belle"

Hi Tim, I totally agree with you. Research is critical. We aim to be as accurate and prototypical as possible. I only wish real railroads would do the same before slapping on H2. Did I happen to mention our new Canadian National ES44AC? But on a serious note, it is very clear that you guys would like to see us to a BNSF ES44AC in H2. We will add it to the list. Best, -Rob(A) AZL
