Does anybody have this set? I want to know if we have all the same problem, the loads don't hold on the flat cars?

I have this set and had the same problem. Really disappointed MTL didn't put pin holes in the flat cars. I ended up using some double sided tape to keep them on. I got the tape at golf shop used for holding on the grip had the right thickness. Only problem is now the cars don't fit in the cases. Sadly when in the jewel case the container doesn't sit in the middle of the flat car.

I could tape a magnet strick to the containers, they wouldn't fit anymore in the cases but it might then be ok to actually put a z2 in it to run it dcc... Otherwise I'm not sure I would keep them... Other than for show

My mother used to use this blue "Silly Putty" type stuff she would get at art stores to use pictures from moving when hanging on the walls. My Dad would use it too, to keep his boxcars on display from moving around. A little dot of this stuff would work-it doesn't leave a residue and is reuasable over and over.

Ive used silly putty its left a residue I would not recommend especially on plastic, metal, wood,

RTV. Can squeeze it down very thin, easy to take off, if needed.

Other than for show I'm talking about the small round rare earth magnets. You would simply place them inside the container, glued to the floor. I assume the MTL container has a removable floor but if not simply cut out part of it and then glue it back once the magnets are in place.

You could use those flexible magnetic strips that one would get in the mail from retailers and such advertising their businesses. Dental and optical office sometimes use them as well. They can be cut to fit any load or flat car floor, and are very thin. I use them on all my loads including my military vehicles.

I would use hot glue, its removeable and holds tight.
