OK, my personal inbox is flooded with; "please do the Sharknoses, please" So maybe I do not hate the Baldwins as much as I did Still hate (or perhaps better, an extreme unexplained dislike) Trainmasters! So was it a joke or not? Lots of us have been waiting for a shark nose for a very long time. The earlier AZL post seemed to imply you were releasing it later this year, and that it wasn’t a joke… you might have some upset customers. What has first driven me to the april 1st fish was the mention "undec", as I know undec locos unfortunately are no more planned at AZL's. Dom

I'm not sure why anyone has been "waiting for a shark nose for a very long time" given that AZL has publicly stated on many occasions its dislike for them. (stopping just short of a lifetime ban)
Probably a good candidate for a 3D print project, although I've no idea what mech would be used.
But yes, "Sharknose + Undec + AZL + April 1st = JOKE". If anyone is upset by this, it would be an unreasonable response. Unreasonable seems to be the rule these days in our world though, so here we are I guess.
I personally love the Baldwin Sharks, but I would not buy one since they don't fit my purchasing criteria. I will cheer for one to get made in some manner though.

In the matter of AZLers versus person(s) who, allegedly, cried shark, we, the jury, as per the aforementioned, find, unanimously, our beloved leader(s) not guilty of crying shark.
April Fools’ Day announcement was more than 25-words to deliver news of the sharknose. An author of that calibre would not use that many words and would not spend that much time to pull the wool over our eyes, to hoodwink us, to lead us up the garden path, to blow smoke up …, or to b …, et cetera.
Undec is just a pendulum swinging.
Is someone being devil’s advocate?
One down, one to go, may apply here. …
“One or two more locomotives … in development.” (23:36, AZL 2024 Winter Update video.) Perhaps the sharknose is one of those one or two.
Recall, too, roundabout that April Fools’, Han’s mailbox was flooded with shark queries. Please, let us refrain from disturbing Hans. He may be studying photos of H24-66s.

P.S.:
Bellied up Aisyelle. Not bad. Might find more than just the power of three this SD40-2 season.
Willin’ to bet her contents that that April Fools’ ain’t no joke.
’Course, you know my piggybank is named Aisyelle.

Probably a good candidate for a 3D print project, although I've no idea what mech would be used. br] It’s already on Shapeways, designed to fit a Micro-Trains F7 mechanism. There are photos and videos of it on the web. I think I’ve seen a version to fit a shorty mech, too, but can’t find it right now.

Thank you.
If I really and truly wanted a working model of the Baldwin RF-16, I’d go with Broadway Limited Imports.
