Hello friends,
after having read davestubbs's comment about pimping the Amfleet trucks within the thread "Amfleet truck problems and partial fix", the performance of these cars is much better. Still, they don't run very smoothly and with a consist of six cars, the P42 will decouple every now an then, especially in turnouts and slopes. Does anyone of you guys know how this problem could be fixed? Is it possible to exchange the coupler maybe with a MTL-style model? I really don't want to fix this decoupling issue with superglue...
Cheers from Germany, Lutz

The coupler is on the shell (IIRC). There was a note about solving this. However, we need more details.
* different coupler heights? * coupler heights vary a lot? (best viewed at track level) * 195 or 220 curves? * anywhere or frequent location? I when going or coming out of straight/curve transitions cause lateral pressure. * track at these decouplings is level at these issue locations? *swapped cars?
