I noticed at Walmart.com you can order a Rokuhan Shorty Shinkansen 500 (shells-only) for $6.95 with free shipping. That's the bullet train that's blue and gray. That is typically about $28. You still have to buy 3 associated shorty chassis' before you have a working train. Do a search for "Rokuhan Shorty" at Walmart.com if you're interested.

Sorry, I don't see other Shorty shells marked down, so it's no help for people dreaming of a Santa Fe F7 abba-abba-abba to pull the Super Chief. 😀 (That's not my dream. )

It's actually an authorized AZL dealer using Wal-Mart's e-commerce platform (at likely exorbitant costs). They're under letter "V" in the authorized dealer list ...

"Order cancelled due to pricing error" ... was too good to be true.
