Out of curiosity why did you have to wait a year?

Preorder from zscalemonster last year or on a wait list.

I love mine, if I was looking for one right now I’d try the z scale boys, hobo and monster. Marklin often advertises locos and the take 1-2 years to deliver, just the way of it. Sometimes they put stuff out and surprise us all. If they are highly desirable they disappear again quickly.

They run surprisingly well for their size and can push a couple cars around with ease.

If you want your trains to run good you need good track work. The track is somewhat level but there's more to it than level track. Just like the life size 1/1 scale you have to maintain the track. If you watch AZL's May video you will see several modules leaning against the wall in the background a few under the modules, and one clamped to the work table on its side. Those modules are down for maintenance, some have had the track and roadbed torn off and are in various stages of maintenance, Repair and/or rebuild. While at the shop we setup and test run every modules before taking them to a show. Over time good trackwork can go bad, Be it the result of a 120* day has caused the track to expand and look like a snake or a tropical storm has warshed the track away or maybe just a lighting strike left a tree laying across the tracks. Whatever the case while at the shop Rob, Bryan, Randy, and myself all work together to maintain the modules and keep the track in good shape. As you can see in the videos the time spent on maintenance pays off. The trains run great.
