Hello
I'm amazed over all new stuff you have been releasing lately specially now when every one else seem to slow down. I'm particularly looking forward to the release of the SD70. I would like to get some SOO-line SD60 and I read that the only difference between SD60 and SD70 was a new style of trucks. Do you by any chance have any left over trucks from previous models like SD45 as spare part that could fit? Maybe I shouldn't try to use the complete trucks with gears and wheels but the sides.
Cheers Mikael

Not so fast my friend. Its not that simple to make a SD60. You will have to cut out the big box behind the engineer side?, add a laundry chute, and the handrails around it. You maybe able to get the sideframe from the MTL SD40, then sand off the details from the SD70 truck. Finally glue both together.

According to a truthful source, A Field guide to Trains, Gerald Foster: -SD60: length 71'2" -SD70: length 72'4". So if you want to remain accurate, more than changing your trucks' side you'll have to chop a little bit the locomotive's chassis and carbody.

Is there a chance we might see SD70's by Christmas?

Maybe. We hope to have the locomotives in house by Dec 10th. We will keep you all posted. The same goes for the GP7/GP9s. Sincerely, Hans

Great news. I will not order anything before Christmas anyway during the biggest mess in Postal service all year. First thing next year then I hope. Thanks, I'm already looking forward to get my hands on SD70 and maybe a GP7. (not to forget MILW heavy mikado)
Cheers Mikael

Yes, I think they will arrive before Santa, but we will not be ready to distribute until after the holidays.
It's something to look forward to in 2014!

I am still waiting for Santa, because the SD70's didn't make it for Dec. I hope the boat didn't take the Samalian route.

Can you tell us what the road numbers will be for the SD70's? I'm particularly interested in Norfolk Southern and CSX. Thanks.
