www.micro-trains.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=75_80_200This was announced several months ago as a pre-order, starting Feb 2021. If you did not get a notice from your favorite dealer, or forum site, you like did not know. And, since MTL has decided on Pre-Sale orders to plan if they do or don't produce*, you might know it even if you went to their site and looked under 'Pre-Orders' where it is NOT listed, only under the Series section. And, you may not like the Names/Roads that MIGHT we coming out (like Uncle Will's 'Full Throttle' releases) so . . you don't pre-order. Or, you only want 1 (or 2) and not the Series so . . you don't pre-order (individuals are available , once produced) WHAT BUGS ME is the image is a NEW body style for Z, with Domed/Rounded/Convex ends used after the 1950's!! All prior releases have been flat end/inserted 1924 era. I fully assume they just used their N scale graphics. So, I e-mailed and got the ambiguous 'yeah, its the same body we have been making. So I am NOT going to be disappointed when I don't order the series to find it is NOT in fact, what they show. I want a 'new' modern body style.

The MTL tank car really needs any update, the molded on ladders are too toy like for the 2020's. The Marklin old tank car looks much better detailed as far as the tank goes. I prefer the AZL tank car details, and am going to start with a dozen of their new 1917 tank cars. I'm not doing anymore modern stuff, now that my era stuff is finally coming available.
