This particular car no. It shows a service date of 1927 and a railroad herald that was retired in 1944. However these ice bunker cars were used into the 1960s as well as Northern Refrigerator labeled cars and Zion Fig bars, so it’s up to you.

I can’t read the service dates but probably also another car that was retired by 1960. www.loc.gov/item/92510243/I’m afraid most of the cars in the farm-to-fork series are early 20th construction and mostly retired by the 1960-s due to age and the transition to mechanical refrigeration. The 548 series cars are more appropriate for your era, just not as colorful.
