If you are a fan of Miller Engineering's brass structures kits, someone on eBay has been posting some of those rare & hard-to-find Downtown series buildings & cottages. I've snapped up a few and I see them disappearing so others are buying too. They post 1-2 daily and I have no idea how many they have. If you love to model these challenging kits, keep you eye out! I've got my winter projects!!

[ Best get them while you can, especially the shops. He has a couple left & that's it. The rest are Victorian cottages & townhouses. Like you, I adore the little station, which reminds me of the one in Ashland, VA. Haven't bought the gas station yet & havent seen the car wash. Thanks for sharing! Deb

OK. I got the car wash and suburban station from him. Had the other. But the crazy neat thing about these is the miller engineering lighting that goes with them.
Today, I bought an N scale Atomic Cafe. That would go well with the Car wash. ...So my next project is cutting down the N scale Downtown Deco structures to match Z scale. I think that I can do it.
All I need is a source for Z Scale double doors. Any ideas?

You can shorten hydrocal buildings by simply rubbing them on a sanding block. I'm seriously planning on doing it. Randy gave me that one free to try.

You can shorten but how will you keep the sides & windows in proportion? Only single story structures?
