I try to support most of the z dealers. But Modeltrainstuff has to be one of the slowest to ship. I placed an order early Monday morning and it's yet to ship. I don't understand ever other dealer that are farther away I have there order in 3 days. What gives ? Does anybody else have this problem ? It generally takes 6 days before I see . It's shipped priority mail like everyone else.

I believe Rob commented about the Dealers (and their inventory) just a few weeks back.
NEW releases, Dealers are notified at the same time. They then place their orders after which Z Track Distribution ships them to the Dealers after which they ship them to you. So, NEW releases, often a week or so to you. Some Dealers (like MB Kein, a.k.a. Model Train Stuff) have 'standing' orders in which Ztrack Distribution ships 'same day'. So you could get them a few days after ordering.
Caveats: some dealers go on vacation, attend a weekend show, etc. and not all products may be represented with the same urgency.
Most all of my monthly Z and N from ModelTrainStuff ships in 2-3 days. I get them about 3-5 days aftere I order. Reliably.
If they acknowledged your order, give it a few days. Gees.

M.B. Klein is the Retail Storefront which is known as Model Train Stuff online. Apparently their internet business is really doing well. Because earlier this year they reduced their store front retail space by 2/3 to make room for more merchandise/stock storage for their internet end of the business "Model Train Stuff" They have bin looking for help ever since. Infact For quite a few months now They have been sending out emails to the local customers letting us know they are looking for full and part time help. Being local i'm in there at least once a month if not once a week. And i can tell you first hand this time of year they are always busy. The storefront is only open 6 days a week most of the year 7 Thanksgiving to Christmas But they've had people filling orders 7 days a week for many months now. I usually pick up my orders in person to save on shipping cost but when i do have stuff shipped 3 to 5 days before shipment isn't out of the ordinary.
I've often thought about taking a part time position out there to make some extra cash, but i'm afraid that if i did work there being around all those trains I would wind up spending more on trains every week than I made.

As for The new releases they generally don't put them on the website. Until they have them in stock because I've talk to them before ordering.

Thanks TJ. I figure you would chime in. I knew for some reason they were slow. It wouldn't pay for me to work there either. It's like putting a kid in a candy store. LOL Bob
