Hello All New--Bee here but I've been playing with Marklin long time . Yes they are kind of sticky to repair. most of time it's the Grease oil type, oil Marklin used The one you have is not all that troublesome, Just have to have Magnifying Glasses - Small Marklin tool Kit - Small disc Magnets to hold the Metal pars & screws you remove . Plenty on line instructions from many Marklin Rail Roaders. If your not used to doing any type of Repairs , Yes find someone who is reliable . At lease Teach your Self how Remove Shell and how to Lube them . That is very easy. I deal with Frank too. Great Guy for Marklin Minor Parts and Questions about them. Hardest Part of Repair work is holding What your Working on in place to work. Not trying to be difficult but if you never try how will you ever know what you can do or can't do .
