What paint color scheme & paint brands did you use? Looks great! I used a combination of paint brands Tamiya Metal primer, Vallejo White and Gray primer, Stynylrez (Badger) olive green, Red Brown, & Nutral primers Vallejo paints (Model Air, Model Color, and Panzer Aces) various colors mixed together and Mission Models Paints again mixing my own colors using a variety of different colors, Along with washes from Vallejo and Polly Scale to help bring out the details. I also used a combination of Airbrush Thinner, Airbrush Flow Improver, Thinner Medium and Retarder Medium from Mission Models and Vallejo. Sorry i didn't keep track of what colors I used for what. I just mixed this color and that till it looked right, thinned, then sprayed it on. For the most part i only mixed brand X products with brand X but i did mix primer with paint for some of it. Being the first ones i did a lot of experimenting to see what worked and what didn't. I all ready have a few kits that i started on in the paint booth and some on the work bench, After them I will try and take notes and post what color combinations i use.

The olive green with white is quite attractive. I managed to find their V-505 kit & am looking forward to the challenge. Thanks for sharing!

Do you find it advantageous to spray all the pieces with primer or just the larger pieces? I have a rattle can of Tamiya flat white. I did not prime the townhouse #1 & it took hand-painting with Testor flat paints okay.

This weeks progress. I did a little more experimenting with paints colors and washes. I also started installing windows, window shades, and curtains. Custom cutting each one to fit and gluing them in one at a time is time consuming But after seeing the side by side comparison of the ones with it to the ones with out i think the added detail is worth the effort. . Wow! Are you using a software to create the curtains & shades. They really make you facades pop!

Wow! Are you using a software to create the curtains & shades. They really make you facades pop! No I'n just using tissue paper for the Shades and scraps of colored paper for the curtains. Plain white paper didn't let any light through when lighted from the inside so i'm using several layers of tissue paper to make the shades. looking from the out side curtains are rarely even on both sides of the window. So I'm cutting each piece free hand with a razor knife, that way no 2 will be the same. Like i said its a sloooooowwww process but i think the un even curtains look more realistic. + by using several layers of tissue paper it gives it some depth so it looks like the curtains are hanging inside instead of just being glued to the glass. Great idea. I watched a video where a model builder used some train software to create window treatments for his plastic structures. The software doesn't support z scale however & decides I don't have a color printer.

Actually you can print anything in Z scale by using the scale factor in the printer driver. For example to print N scale items in Z scale, set the printer scale to 72%. Also most office supply stores will do color printing for you.
